Councilman Brian Skelton has drawn one contender for his Place 6 seat. Skelton's opponent is Jimmie "Jim" Brown.

The other contested race so far is in Council Place 7, where two people have qualified to run for the seat being vacated by Mike Natter. They are John Greene III and George Davis.
