Title: Post office
Post by appleblossom on 08/29/08 at 10:16am

What's the skinny on the post office window.. got a call at work telling me the window is broken and yellow tape is blocking it off.   Did I miss something??  I was at Studio 1 late yesterday, but didn't go on the post office side of the Pig.   Was it like that yesterday?

It was like that a couple of days ago.  It looked like someone drove into the bottom part of it, but that's purely speculation.

Hummm, interesting.. I'll check it out  this afternoon.  I was at the Pig Wednesday, but never noticed.  Guess that tells me I'm not very observant.

I spoke with one of the postal workers today and told her that people were curious as to what happened to the front of the building.  I told her that I would post her answer on the forum.  She was very happy to hear this, since she's being asked about it quite a bit.

She said about a month ago a car went over the curb and did some damage to the exterior wall, but did not come through.  The contractor is just now getting around to fixing it.  She said nobody was injured and it should be fixed by next week.

Maybe someone parked on either side of them while they were sitting in their car. Then there was no way out except through the post office.

Am I the only one who is aggrevated by the incredibly narrow parking spaces in that lot?

Agreed.  Very narrow, very difficult to get out of your car, especially when the SUVs in the spots next to you didn't park exactly in the center of their space.  I always wondered why they don't just make the spaces like a normal parking space on the post office side of the SM Plaza.

I am an averaged sized person who drives a mid sized sedan and I still feel like I need a can opener to get in my car.

They don't need to have parking spaces directly in front of any of the buildings anyways.  They need to have the spots more in the center of the lot.
