Hi everyone! I know I don't post much but I love reading about the area. I grew up in Bluff Park and sad to say moved away several months ago (and missed it ever since). But on a happy note me and mu hubby are moving back next year in January for a better pay in the company we work with and the wonderful news that me and my hubby are expecting :)

Anyhoo I know its going to be a while till I have the baby I was wondering if anyone knew of any daycares in the area or within a 20 mile ratio of Bluff Park that takes care of infants. Also if anyone knew what price range we are looking at so we can start setting back a little nest.

Are you talking day care, or Mother's Day out?

Sorry to ask I'm alittle in the dark on what Mothers day out is?
I'm generally going to be looking for someone / company to watch over my child while I work. They'll be little over a month old at this time

Then its day care. MDO is for a short time (maybe 3 or 4 hours) one or more days a week.

Its been a while since I have looked into this, but I'll ask around ;)

We used Odyssey Child Develpoment on Emery Drive behind Hunter Street Baptist. Their facilities were clean and the staff was very professional. They had cameras so you could log on to their website and see your child's room at anytime.

They have a daycare center in the Piggly Wiggly shopping center. Cant give you a rating though I just know that its there.

Both of my kids went to Hand in Hand. It's located off Lakeshore drive behind the Alabama Home builder's association. Very nice and clean facility. For infants the cost is around 760 a month and it gets a little cheaper as the kids get older. Here is a link:
