Just wondering if anyone else received a letter from Lillian Bradberry today. It's a photocopy of a handwritten letter asking for money to help her. She says she is a disabled raising 6 grandchildren and lists a number of health issues that she and the grandchildren have. I feel guilty but suspect this is some type of scam.

I smell a scam.
sounds like the same kind of thing that was going on with a girl going door to door asking for money for a prescription med for child (or self) except this is a letter.

if you can email me a copy of the letter I can check into it.
does it give an address to send money or anything like that?
Do you or anyone know a Lillian Bradberry in Bluff Park?

a general rule is people who really need help are not the ones who ask.

I'll scan it tomorrow and send to you. The address is Lillian Bradberry, 1520 Highland Drive, B'ham, AL 35235, Phone # 815-0828. Not sure but I think this is Bessemer???? I'm also going to send a copy to the Hoover Police. Thanks.

Thank you, I will research the name an address with some contacts that I have.
I would most definitely send a copy to the Hoover PD and ask if they have received any like it. let us know when you do.

little bit of info
I have check the house number and phone number and they do match up on google maps and on mapquest. but that is it.

Hoover Police said it is definitely a scam so beware. The Postmaster is also aware. I googled the name and address as well looks like the Edwards Lake area (near Trussville).
