We received the following e-mail on 9/3/12:

We have found a female Chocolate Lab that followed our truck to our house during the thunderstorm this evening (Sunday... 8:00 pm). Friendly. Collar, no tag. She was running down the middle of Shades Crest Road towards Chapel Road.

Tuesday I will check with vets and see if she has a microchip.

The dog's owner was finally located (he was out of town) and she was returned.
