Hoover will be participating in the 2013 Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday. Items such as batteries, generators, and weather radios will be exempt from state sales tax during the weekend of February 22 - 24, 2013. Although Hoover will be waiving city sales tax during the event County tax may still apply. Please check with Jefferson or Shelby County to determine if they are participating.
