This is a post from the Bluff Park Watch Group FB page. I thought it would be good to repost it here as well as on the BLuffparkal.org forum. Perhaps BP residents can help bring this business in.

From Bluff Park Watch Group FB page Elizabeth Broadhead posting: "Here's an idea folks; 10 minutes away from here is a very family oriented Mexican restaurant El Gringo. The owner, Keith Nicholas, has looked into expanding into Bluff Park several times in the old Chinese place in the plaza. I believe his main concerns were that the previous tenants left the place in bad need of repair and concerned how the community would respond to his restaurant. I would suggest if the community would support him at his current location he would then feel confident to spend the money to expand. The restaurant is currently located about one mile west of Oxmoor Rd on W Lakeshore. Great food, beer and margaritas and acoustic music Thursday Night and Friday Night with no cover charge. Very reasonable prices and very nice owners. I would drop in and let him know you are a Bluff Parker supporting his business and see what happens from there."

I can guarantee he'd do more dinner business than he does at his current location. The food is good but that place is usually dead. I assume they do well at lunch time.

That said, I've been shouting for a Mexican restaurant in BP for years. Create a fun, family friendly place with decent food and great margaritas and it will do great. Have also heard we might be getting a bbq place.

I think the Mexican restaurant El Gringo, or any other Mexican restaurant would be a good idea to put in place of the Chinese restaurant that is closed. The only problem I see is how they will be able to sell alcohol. If they do sell it, they might have to adjust their time of serving. This is due to the day care that is in close proximity to it.

Any updates? I noticed the cable company moved out of the Dollar General shopping center. Hopefully it won't be replaced with hair and nail salons.
