After several residents reported receiving a notice in the mail from the US Postal Service concerning a new location for picking up packages Bluffparkal.org placed phone calls to both the Bluff Park and Riverchase branches to get clarification.

Here are the responses:

Response from Bluff Park location:
Employees do not have any word that location will be closing. They are open for business to serve the community. Packages that you would NORMALLY have to pick up at that location will be picked up at Riverchase. This went into effect December 1.

Response from Riverchase location:
We were given a few examples of packages that would have to be picked up at the Riverchase branch

-Any packages that a resident would normally have to sign for and they were not home, (i.e. Certified Mail etc.).
-Packages that could not be left in a safe and secure area.
-Packages that could not be left due to weather related issues such as rain, wind etc.
