"A YARD ACT TO FOLLOW"
 
At the Historic Bluff Park Elementary School

The Seasoned Performers, (TSP), Alabama's Only Senior Adult Theatre, announces "A Yard Act to Follow." The company will hold a huge multiple-family Yard Sale to benefit The Seasoned Performers.
 
A big component of the event will be a Gently Used Purse Sale to benefit both TSP and Sight Savers America, a nonprofit children’s eye care organization which helps underserved and disadvantaged kids see better by providing eye exams, glasses, surgery, and low vision aids.
 
Literally hundreds of purses collected by the Friends of Sight Savers Auxiliary will be available for purchase at the yard sale. Shoppers can expect to find designer bags, beach bags, vintage evening bags, hobo bags, laptop bags, retro bags, brand new bags (some with original price tags), ‘50s collector’s items, and the latest in fashion handbags.
 
The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Bluff Park Community School (571 Park Avenue, just off Shades Crest Road in Bluff Park) in the school cafeteria.
 
TSP is joining Artists on the Bluff, a community of artists that will be housed in the old Bluff Park Elementary School. The theatre group will have offices in the center, as well as having access to rehearsal and performance space, and classrooms to hold workshops and programs. The yard sale is raising funds for the move, and will include furniture, clothing, linens, dishes, pots and pans, books, CDs, household goods, golf clubs, Christmas decorations, and other items from many different fans and members of The Seasoned Performers. Hundreds of extremely nice purses will also be available.
