Hoover Animal Control - Misconceptions

I did not know this, so maybe you folks don't either.
When you call Hoover Animal Control they come out and pick up a dog or a cat.

THEN they take it to Vestavia Animal Clinic - where it is held. Their pix is put up on the BP Facebook site.

I had some idea it went some horrible place where it would never return - you know what I mean.

So, check out their site and DO NOT BE AFRAID TO CALL THEM. It will cost owner $$ if an animal gets loose - but it will be treated well.

Sometimes the Animal Control has the person who called take the animal to Vestavia Animal Clinic. If you know your dog was taken to Vestavia, here are the steps to retrieve your pet.

1) Go to Hoover Municipal Court on Valleydale
2) Pay $40 per dog
3) Fine must be paid in CASH; no debit/credit cards or checks accepted (An ATM is in the lobby but the fee is high.)
4) Take your receipt from Hoover to Vestavia Animal Clinic
5) Pay Vestavia Animal Clinic (they accept debit/credit, check or cash
6) Get your pet
