We got an email from resident Betty Wilson recently about some antique bottles she found while some work was done on her property. In the process they had three interesting bottles that were dug up form the yard, both dating probably to the early 1900's. Take a look. Any further info on antique bottles from this time would be a help.

There are TONS of antique bottles over the cliff.  Back in the day before garbage pickup people would throw anything that wouldn't  burn or compost over the cliff.  I live on the cliff side of Shades Crest and I can't put a shovel in the ground without bringing up glass; most of it broken pieces of old bottles and mason jars, depression glass, etc.  I find quite a few intact bottles as well.  Frequently the rain will expose these treasures.
Still looking for that gold that was supposedly buried during the civil war.
