SUSPECT CHARGED IN DEATH INVESTIGATION
     On Saturday, November 30, 2013, shortly after 7:00pm, the Hoover Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the parking lot of the 1600 building in the Summerchase Apartments. The victim, Michelle Lacette Shepherd, age 36 of Birmingham was deceased at the scene. The victim and the suspect had attended an Iron Bowl party at Summerchase Apartments.  A suspect, Adrian Laroze Briskey, age 28 of Birmingham was taken into custody at the scene.
 
     Hoover Detectives met with the Shelby County District Attorney on Monday, December 2, 2013 to present the facts of the case; a warrant was issued for Briskey; the charge is Murder.  Briskey will be transferred from the Hoover City Jail to the Shelby County Jail.
