We received the following e-mail on 4/30/09: My cat, Ju-Ju has disappeared. We live in Martinwood Subdivision and she sometimes stays gone for 2 to 3 days, then comes back. She has not come home this time. She is a spayed female tabby with long hair. She looks like a little fox with her bushy tail. I have included a pic of her. If someone finds her, please call me 789-7915. Kitty Downs
Updated 5/28/10: My cat, Ju Ju disappeared over a year ago. I sent her pic last year as soon as she disappeared. My husband thinks her saw her recently on Caliente Drive. We live on Cambo Terrace and desperately want our "Ju Ju" back. She is a spayed female.

Hoover
Historical Society
meets the third Tuesday September through May at Hoover
Community School in Bluff Park. Meetings are at 1:30 P.M.
We have a published book "History of Hoover, Alabama".
We also have a Folklore Center located on Cloudland Drive behind
Bluff Park School. This center consists of a 1840's log cabin
and other buildings of the era. The log cabin contains period
furnishings. Volunteers have programs for 1st and 3rd grade
classes by appointment. President Marie TaylorThe Hoover Historical Society's Folklore Center will be open to visitors for three Saturdays this summer: June 5, July 3, and August 7 from 9:00-11:00 am. The centerpiece of the Folklore Center is the Stinson log home which is decorated in 1840's style. Other outbuildings that befit an old Alabama homestead are also on the property. The Folklore Center is located on Cloudland Avenue at the rear of Bluff Park Community Education Building, 569 Park Avenue. Come visit, and take a step back in time! |
