BLUFFPARKAL.ORG was created in August 2006 following a robbery at the Piggly Wiggly in Bluff Park.  Ben Shelton, a Bluff Park resident, who was inside the store during the robbery, distributed letters to Bluff Park residents the days after the robbery urging them to contact the Hoover City Council members.

R. Schultz, owner of PC Medics of Alabama and Bluff Park resident, received one of these letters and contacted Mr. Shelton.  One of the services that PC Medics of Alabama offers is web site design and hosting.  Offering the services of PC Medics to spread the word for Mr. Shelton was an idea that came to be.  Within hours the domain was registered and the building of the site began.

The purpose of the site was to use the power of the Internet to spread the word about our little corner of the world, Bluff Park, Hoover, Alabama.  Instead of relying on newspapers and web sites that covered the entire Birmingham/Hoover Metro area and could not devote time or space to Bluff Park, BLUFFPARKAL.ORG will be only about Bluff Park.

The site will have information about Bluff Park events, schools, businesses and much more.  The site will not have information about the rest of Hoover unless it relates specifically to Bluff Park.  Stories about Bluff Park are written by Heather and are featured in the "Heather's Corner" section of the site.

The site will grow in size and add many new features.  Currently it is being sponsored by PC Medics of Alabama, Robert's Discount Pharmacy, Hale Springs Financial Group, ArmorSafe Storage, Hoover Fitness, OnSite Brakes, Bluff Park Lawn Care, Tyler Crest Town Homes, Studio1 Dance at Bluff Park, Moonlight on the Mountain, Sampson Family Dentistry, and Southern Secure Insurance.  If you own a business in Bluff Park and would like to become a sponsor, use the contact information below.
