Bluff Park United Methodists Church 100 years
part of the story from al.com link below.....
"The church has designated this Sunday as Heritage Day and invited former members and ministers for special observances: recognition of 54 50-year members; dedication of needlework kneeling cushions for the chancel rail; and a presentation of a painting by Cary Moore of the church's first frame building, built in 1912, and a quilt depicting the three church buildings from 1912 to the present sanctuary on Valley Street.
In September, the church plans to hold a neighborhood street fair in honor of its birthday. Centennial project co-chairman John Whitcomb will write a new history this year. "
