Satisfaction, less arguing means fewer Hoover candidates

With the mayor and most of the City Council unopposed, Hoover doesn't have to wait until after the election to begin talks on important spending priorities.

Update on the ticket

Vyvette Isabelle has withdrew from the race for Hoover City Council Place 6, leaves Hoover Councilman Brian Skelton no opposition for re-election.

Hoover City City Council Place candidates answer questions on the issues
Mike Cason -- Birmingham News Published: Today

The three candidates for Hoover City Council Place 7 answer several questions about issues facing the city. The candidates -- Jimmie Brown, Rusty Creel and John Greene III -- answered via e-mail. Their answers were paraphrased for brevity, except where there are direct quotes. The election is Aug. 26.
