Sleeping on couch last night and heard bang bang bang noises outdoors. I am a heavy sleeper. I got up and peeked outside (my house was dark). I saw two Charter Cable vehicles- one looked like it even had some lift mechanism on it sitting parked outside our house --sort of half way between ours and the neighbors where there is a telephone pole. I think neighbor has charter but we don't. I looked out of a diff window and they drove off suddenly.  
 
This was all at around 3 -3:30 am. I didn't call police bc it seemed elaborate to have all that equipment to pose as a theif. Plus what theif would make all that loud noise?!? Does Charter work this early in the morning? Is this typical?

nickel4al is correct- ATT, Charter, etc all work outages 24/7 and some maintenances do require that they only be performed midnight to 6 am so as to impact the least amount of customers.
