Foster home/rescue needed!
This beautiful mama & her 6 puppies were rescued on March 13. "Girlfriend" had been living on the streets & in the woods of Bluff Park for over 8 months before she was finally picked up with her babies.
They are safe for now, but they still need help. The babies were born sometime between March 6 & March 10 and are currently being boarded/evaluated at a vet clinic. Beginning March 22, they need a foster home for 10-12 weeks!
The puppies - 5 girls & a boy - are possibly mixed with dalmation and/or weimaraner. Mom weighs about 35-38 lbs, but is very thin and needs to fill out. She is HW+ and will be treated once the puppies are weaned.
All necessary dog/puppy food & supplies will be provided....the foster home would just need to provide a safe place to live until the puppies are old enough to be adopted.
If you can't foster but would like to help with vetting/boarding expenses, please mail your check payable to Riverview Animal Clinic at 4640 Highway 280 South, Birmingham, AL 35242. On the attention line, be sure to note "Friends for Life account - Girlfriend." Any help would be enormously appreciated!
