Join AAA, Hoover PD, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Alabama State Troopers for a FREE VIN glass etching event open to everyone! On Thursday, October 11th, we will be at the AAA headquarters located at 2400 Acton Road from 1 to 5 PM.  
 
VIN etching is a process where your vehicle’s Vehicle Identification Number is etched into the windshield and other windows of your vehicle. This process is designed to make your vehicle less attractive to a car thief or “chop shop” and is already being provided on some newer vehicles.  The process can cost over $100.00 in some locations and may qualify you for a discount from your insurance company (please contact your insurance agent to find out if they offer this discount).
