try to determine what routine they establish like, same time of day, same entry and exit points, description of bikes etc. This will help HPD with their search.

Hello,
When you have a chance, send me an e mail or post in the forum the times you usually see or hear the riders and the days it has occurred.  I will forward the information to the Beat Officer that is working during that time frame and advise them of the situation.

Thanks,

Brian

Thanks Officer! I'll send you an email the next time I hear them.
I'm pretty sure one of them lives on Jamestown Dr. I see him going back and forth digging ruts in the ditches around the intersection of Jamestown and Farley Way. My wife and I saw him pushing his bike up Jamestown with no helmet on a couple of weeks ago and called the Hoover PD non-emergency line to report him. They look like they're 11-13 years old and their bikes are LOUD.

Geez - can kids not have any fun anymore??  When I was growing up, we BUILT ramps and huge dirt mounds to ride and jump our bikes, even motorcycles - be happy they aren't riding motorcyles!  I have 2 kids and I would SO MUCH rather they get out and ride their bikes than sit on their bums playing video games.  Pick your battles!  Roll Eyes

Since someone said their dirt bikes were loud, I figured they were motorcycles.

The lot you all are talking about is a city owned lot (at the last time I checked) We were informed by a neighbor that the city cleared the lot but they did not know why.  It is empty and could not be built on because it does not perk. It is not an ideal place for kids to play. Officer Foreman has asked for it to be reported when they are there next time so that the Beat Officer can be notified. The Neighborhood Watch Captain can also be notified but the police should be called FIRST.

They are back.  I live near the road in reference and they were screaming up and down the road on a yellow dirtbike with no helmet.  This occurred Sunday afternoon between 4:00 to 5:00 pm.  I may try to get some video or pictures if I see them again.
