Arrests made in Wal-Mart / Highway 280 robbery

Two suspects are in custody for the early Monday robbery that occurred in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Highway 280. The 49 year old female victim was robbed of her car after being punched in the face and knocked to the ground. Wal-Mart surveillance photos were released to the media, Crime Stoppers and posted on the Hoover Police Department’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Those images produced numerous tips that led to the identity of the suspects.
Detectives obtained warrants on Wednesday at the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office, charging the suspects with the following:

Jalen Daron Cole                  19 years old            Birmingham, Al
•      Robbery 2nd  degree            $30,000.00 bond

Kadarius Antonio Scott            20 years old            Birmingham, Al
•      Robbery 2nd  degree            $30,000.00 bond

Scott surrendered himself at the Bessemer Police Department early Thursday morning and was then transferred to the Shelby County Jail.
Cole surrendered himself last night to U.S. Marshal’s and was transported to the Hoover City Jail. He will be transferred to the Shelby County Jail later today.
