HOOVER, Alabama --The city of Hoover is moving forward on long-awaited sidewalk projects in the city's western section.

The City Council has authorized the mayor to enter into preliminary agreements for engineering for sidewalks for: Bluff Park near the community center; Patton Chapel Road from Chapel Creek to Park Avenue; Ross Bridge Parkway from the Deer Valley subdivision to Deer Valley Elementary School; and Preserve Parkway from Sulphur Springs Road to the Preserve Town Center.
