SCAM ALERT!  We have been contacted by three residents this week about a scam that targets the elderly with grandchildren.  The victims were contacted by a suspect that used the name of their grandchild, claimed to be them, and said they were in jail due to some offense like Driving Under the Influence.  The caller goes on to say they need bail money and asked the victim to send money by wire transfer.  
 
Please inform any elderly family members or friends of this scam so that they will be aware of it.  If anyone is contacted by someone pretending to be a family member please report it to us and obtain any phone numbers that show up on caller I.D.
