The Birmingham News ran the following article:

Birmingham, Jefferson County law enforcement asked not to issue tickets for tags over next 10 days
 
This morning we e-mailed Capt. Coker of Hoover PD to inquire if Hoover was participating also.  He responded advising that Hoover was participating, however, also reminded us that parts of Hoover are in Shelby county, so those tags would not qualify.
