Suspicious red sedan, hispanic casing house
11/12/12 at 6:46pm

Today, my neighbor on 600 block of Shades Crest observed a hispanic-looking individual (not sure if male or female given short pony tail) looking through window at my house. the person apparently drove up a hidden driveway (not the primary entrance), exited the car and then walked up to the house and peered through a basement window. the person drove away before neighbor could get a view of the license plate.

This is particularly audacious given 1) you can't discern whether we are home (family usually is) from his/her entry point and 2) our guard dog was on porch feet from where he walked to house. the barking is what drew neighbors attention.

Keep an eye out!

UPDATE: 11/16 at approx. 4pm, the lady returned (with 1 girl & 1 boy, ages 9-10ish) and came to the door. my wife answered and with the kids translating asked if we still had a drum set that had been out for a yard sale in the spring. she was driving older red civic or similar car.

When you or your neighbor contacted Hoover PD, did they have any information regarding this car?  Had it been reported by anyone else?
