BOLO:suspects Vestavia
03/30/13 at 10:57pm

The following is an email sent to Bluffparkal.org from a Neighborhood Watch group in the Green Valley area. The emailer indicated that they got the forwarded email from a contact in Vestavia.

HAPPENED IN VESTAVIA YESTERDAY:
Friend of a friend that lives in the Vestavia Hills area near Mark's Outdoors. She was home yesterday and a woman came to her door and rang the doorbell over and over. She didn't recognize the woman, so she didn't answer the door. Her dogs started barking and she turned and saw two blac...k men trying to open the door to her deck. She yelled at the men to go away and she called the police. The woman was still ringing the doorbell so she screamed at her that the police were coming. She turned and ran off to a car that was pulled in backwards in her driveway. She described her as a shorter black woman wearing scrubs.

The VH's police came and said this has been going on and is consistent with 2 males and 1 female. The female distracts while the men enter in the back. This is not isolated just to Vestavia, apparently it has been happening throughout Birmingham. The homeowner had parked her car in the garage, so these people must have thought no one would be home. So everyone, please be aware and SHARE!
