Join AAA & Hoover PD for a FREE VIN auto glass etching event open to everyone! On Thursday, April 18th, we will be at the AAA headquarters located at 2400 Acton Road from 1 to 5 PM.  
 
VIN etching is a process where your vehicle’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is etched into the windshield and other windows of your vehicle. This process can cost over $100.00 in some areas and is designed to make your vehicle less attractive to a car thief or “chop shop”.  AAA is providing this service for free regardless of the company you use for your automobile insurance.  Some insurance companies will give you a discount if you have your vehicle etched (please check with your insurance agent to find out if the discount is available).  If you have any questions call me at (205) 739-6870.  Note – some newer manufactured vehicles are etched at the factory.
