On May 31, 2012 the BB & T bank at 1596 Montgomery Highway was
robbed by a lone black male. The suspect presented a note demanding money
from the teller; he then fled in an unknown direction.
Hoover detectives recently obtained evidence that identified Anthony
Djuan Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee as the robbery suspect. A warrant for
Robbery 1st degree was obtained on September 13, 2012 at the Jefferson
County District Attorney’s office.
Jackson is currently in jail in Memphis on aggravated assault charges. He
is a suspect in at least 8 other bank robberies in several states (Alabama,
Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri and Illinois). Hoover detectives are working with
those agencies to assist in determining Jackson’s involvement in those cases.
